Exhibition in Lusaka

Once again the blog seems to have been abandoned…
I have been extremely busy the last few weeks getting ready for an exhibition at the Alliance Francaise in Lusaka. The opening night is this Friday (27 November) at 18:00 hrs so if you are in town then be sure to stop by. If you can’t make the opening night then the exhibition will be running until the 11th of December. I hope to see you there!

Sleeping hyaena

This young spotted hyaena was so fast asleep that I was able to get very close to him. When he realised I was nearby he half opened one eye to look at me for a few seconds and then fell asleep again. Perhaps he was having sweet dreams of a succulent, three day old buffalo carcass..

Flying high

I got a chance to go flying this week in John Coppinger’s microlight. As always it was a wonderful experience – here are a couple images from the flight.
We were very fortunate to find this small herd of elephants wading across the Luangwa river. The second image is of a warthog sow lying next to her burrow. If you look closely you can see a little piglet looking up at us from behind her right shoulder!
