More Microlighting

It has been a fun week for us as we took the opportunity to get away for a few days of socialising in Mfuwe before the river dries up and we are stranded here again. I also managed to wangle another flight out of John which was wonderful as usual.

We saw plenty wildlife from the air including two lionesses and a herd of eland but the highlight for me was a saddle-billed stork and four chicks sitting on a massive scraggly nest. We were careful not to get too close to her as we didn’t want to stress her but I managed to get a couple shots.

This is a flock of yellow-billed storks flying over the muddy Luangwa river. No matter how hard I try I can’t work out which shadow belongs to which bird!
